Numerical Investigation on Pairing Solutions of Non-Positive Displacement Pumps and Internal Gear Pump for High-Speed Design

Raising the working speed of hydraulic pumps to maximize efficient matching range electric motors is one possible ways achieve energy efficiency in machinery. By means a simulation method verified with subsequent experiments terms filling efficiency, this paper first analyzed suction capacity crescent-type internal gear different geometric parameters at high speed, and pair that more suitable for high-speed operation was obtained. Subsequently, as significant contributions, two pairing solutions non-positive displacement pump an were proposed pressurize inlet keep it from cavitating. In compact design solution, inclined-holes type axial-flow blade share same pump, while decentralized layout solution allows flexible adjustment centrifugal impeller-type capability. The final results show that, help impeller pumps, 6000 rpm can be improved by 3.59% 5.84%, respectively, blades fails eliminate cavitation regardless speed. Moreover, when works rpm, needs set above 2500 make sense.
